Shiawassee United Way works with government, non-profit and for profit organizations to form collaborations and partnerships to avoid unnecessary duplications of service. This ensures that your dollars are used efficiently and effectively to address the root causes of poverty in our community.
Improving The County
We address the root causes of poverty in Shiawassee County by funding 10 programs at 8 agencies, administering the Hunger Network, writing grants for the Church & Community Emergency Homelessness fund, offering the community the First Call for Help Line, and distributing Family-Wize Prescription Discount Cards. It is envisioned that this combination of funding and services will result in lasting, measurable change throughout the Shiawassee County Community.

Shiawassee United Way has been serving Shiawassee County for more than 65 years. All monies donated stay in Shiawassee County to serve the citizens of Shiawassee County.
